Our Interns are supervised by Masters level therapists and some cases may be too complex for the Interns.

  • This is a common question we are asked by those looking to find low-cost and affordable counselling.

Interns are kind, curious, and compassionate and genuinely care. Research shows similar results in therapy with new and training therapists as with experienced therapists.

Our Interns are hand-selected by our clinic director for their prior experience and teachability.  Our graudate level Interns come with many years of experience in the helping field as social workers or in non-profits or in volunteer work.  For example, our current student Harminder has many years working in health care, and non-profits as a Registered Social Worker.

They are dedicated to learning and are closely supervised and supported by our clinic director April Griffin (MSW RSW RCC) to ensure that they are operating in their scope of practice and reviewing cases and work regularly.
