About Our Services

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

Transformative Care for Overcoming Trauma

EMDR therapy is an extensively researched, effective therapy method proven to help people recover from trauma and other distressing life experiences, including PTSD, anxiety, depression, and panic disorders.

Our EMDR therapists guide clients through the eight-phase treatment to help them process these experiences and significantly diminish the distress and improve emotional well-being.

Key Benefits:

Accelerates Recovery: Typically achieves lasting relief from traumatic symptoms, more rapidly than traditional talk therapy.

Reduces Distress: Directly impacts the way the brain processes information, leaving clients feeling as though the trauma is in the past with diminished PTSD nightmares and flashbacks.

Empowers Clients: Helps clients feel more in control of their emotional responses and less overwhelmed by past experiences, and have greater self-worth and confidence.

Psychotherapy

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

Achieve Emotional Regulation and Interpersonal Skills

DBT is particularly effective for individuals who experience intense emotions and struggle with relationships, anger, or mood disorders.

Our DBT groups focus on four key areas: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.

Through individual sessions and group skills training, clients learn to manage their emotions and interactions more effectively.

Key Benefits:

Mindfulness: Helps clients learn to observe and describe they thoughts and emotions remain present and engaged in the here and now.

Distress Tolerance: Equips clients with practical skills to get through painful, difficult situations, without making things worse.

Emotion Regulation: Offers strategies for understanding and changing intense emotions that are causing problems in a person’s life.

Interpersonal Effectiveness: Teaches techniques to allow clients to communicate with others in a way that is assertive, maintains self-respect, and strengthens relationships.
